Industrial Centers

Virasoro Industrial Center

This is one of the largest forest industry compounds in the world that manufactures Eucalyptus Grandis products. It is engaged in the production and marketing of solid wood products from cultivation forests. Its operations are based on resource use optimization by continuously developing new products and exploring new markets. This industrial center is made up of 3 mills offering various top quality products.  

 A- PLYWOOD PANELS MILL 

This business unit operates under quality standards and guidelines that ensure a strong development in the Argentine market, and the export of products to over 25 countries worldwide.

  •  Capacity: 48,000 m3 of panels per year. 
  •  Technology: New Zealand origin.

     

Processes involved: barking and cutting on demand; dewinding; drying and sorting; plugging; coupling; gluing; pressing; puttying; squaring; sandpapering; panel classification.

 B- SAWMILLS

This production unit is the board sawmill, where cutting-edge technology is used to manufacture boards, beams and other products that are submitted to a stringent classification system.  

 

 

  • Capacity: 60,000 m3 of timber per year.
  • Type of process: continuous.
  • This mill produces two types of wood: green wood, ready to use after being sawed, and timber sorted for the remanufacturing process, to be taken to the aeration area.
  • Drying area: comprising 5 Italian state-of-the-art NARDI drying chambers, subject to stringent defect elimination and sorting controls.        

 

 

C- REMANUFACTURING MILL

The remanufacturing production unit takes the dry products and turns them into select molded pieces. 

  • Capacity: 12,000 m3 of remanufactured products per year.  
  • Type of process: batch.

 

 

 Process control: Following strict internal waste management rules, waste is treated, carried and stored as by-products that supply raw material and energy to cellulose mills and tongue-and-groove board mills, among others.   

 


San Charbel Industrial Center

This industrial center processes Elliotti and Taeda pine wood. This top-quality raw material comes from its own forests.  

  •  Cutting capacity: 40,000 m3 per year. 
  • Argentine technology.
  • Processes involved: sawing, fungicide bath, drying, remanufacturing
